Default Excessive Condensation/Moisture post a/c shut down

Hi gents;

My AJ16 car A/C has been cooling exceptionally well this summer (Houston,TX-post 100). Only thing I have noticed, is once I shut the car down, even in the extreme heat, I will have moisture, or condensation all over the wood fascia of the car, including the SRS wood panel. Even all over the instrument cluster. The drainage port is clear and drops water, and seeing how well the A/C is cooling, I don’t want anyone fooling with it......

any ideas why this is happening?

thanks!!

Sounds like your aircon is too cold! Not in the sense that it is too cold for the driver, but in the sense that a whisky glass with ice in it condenses water all over the outside! Your fascia mus be getting so beautifully cooled that as soon as the aircon stops, droplets of condensate form from the vapour in the interior air. Just maybe there is a leak from the cold side box in the unit that is sending uncontrolled cool air into the spaces behind the dash?
