Hi all,

My mechanic had to weld a small crack in the exhaust gasket in December 2012. With its next service due, I want to get the problem fixed as rougher exhaust noise at high revs leads me to believe the crack has gotten worse.

Could anyone advise of the list of parts to be replaced for a crack in the exhaust gasket please.

I think you meant to say ".....in the exhaust manifold..."






You'll need the exhaust manifold itself and the manifold-to-cylinder-head gasket. You *might* need a new manifold-to-downpipe seal. Sometimes these can reused, sometimes not.

Note that your car has two exhaust manifolds, front and rear. Which one is cracked?
