Default Facelift tail lights?

I replaced the standard bulbs with LED's but the brake lights and turn signals are still pretty hard to see in the daytime.
Is there some way to brighten them up?

Really? Try different bulbs that shine the light into reflector and not just outward. Regular ole bulbs work just fine though. Im all about LEDs but perhaps you’re expecting them to be brighter than what you can get out of them. Got pics?

Pete,

The facelift cluster glasses respond well to REALLY thorough cleaning, not just a quick wash. The surfaces seem to pick up contamination and you really need to work on a proper clean and possibly a cutting polish. You will see a difference in the light that can emanate from them.

Good luck

Paul

What is the lumens rating of the LEDs you bought. Just because they are LED doesn't make them brighter...

One obvious thing I didn't mention . . .
I installed red LEDs.
I'll polish the lenses and get some different white light LEDs.

Never use a white LED behind a coloured lens. Use the same colour as the lens.

LED bulbs are not like normal bulbs. If you put a white LED behind a coloured lens the white colour will show through and less of the colour you want.

I dont have a problem with them. I have them in my car. But you most certainly do have a problem with them. You’re not happy with them, so move on. Waste of time. Some people have different expectations. Go back to regular bulbs which have always worked fine in the *** end of Facelift models.
