Posix,

I presume you have a Coupe, rather than a Convertible? BEC9535 is the seal for an early facelift Coupe. As you probably know, the screens are different thicknesses on Coupes and Convertibles, hence different part numbers for each body type seal.

I don't know if it helps at all, but I've attached the Jaguar workshop instructions for the removal and renewal of the screen and trim. There isn't a 3-dimenisonal diagram though.

Good luck

Paul

Well, no not really, they in essence say "remove and then reverse". I was hoping for a more detailed explanation of how the bec seal goes...

Finding a windscreen was nearly impossible for me here in Los Angeles too, so I settled on a Chinese made unit that fit perfectly and to my amazement it doesnt have one bit of distortion and the price was a third of an original one that required an additional shipment fee. I reused my seal but I might have to replaced it in 10 years. 93-96 coupes use a slighter taller windscreen and outer seal I believe. The seal covers the outer edge of the windscreen and the steel trim. It essentially keeps moisture out so there should be no spacing.
