Agreed, it does. It's hard to get all the crap out otherwise. An airline from behind can help, as does a large bottle brush. Sort of looks like a giant pipecleaner and rub it across the face of the rad, the bristles can pick up much of the debris. A garden hose sprayer from behind helps too. It's just easier to do out of the car, but not impossible in the car.

Compressed air is something I have a LOT of.

The water helps remove a lot of dirt that air doesn't seem to shift.

Well I'm all cleaned out and the new fan clutch is in. I dropped two of those darn star washers and they are lost forever but they were were .10 each at the local hardware store thankfully. It seems like I'm running cooler but I'll have to wait until I can get into some traffic for a real test. Also for good measure I ordered a new temp sender for the gauge for good measure.
