Default Fender removal help

All,

I am taking the 88 H&E convertible apart. Thanks to many of you who have bought parts from me.

Right now I have the front fenders ready to come off ...............except for a small problem.
Appears there is some kind of connector of the fender to the body between the doors and the front wheels. Plus there is some kind of plastic tank on drivers side.
All the other nuts and bolts are off. The fenders flop around now.
I don't want to get frustrated and pull out the Sawz All.
Anyone have knowledge on how to get these fenders off. Surly they didn't make it this complicated in the assembly process.

Brad
The wing (fender) is bolted to the body at the door end by a bracket that is very hard to see and get at. If you look down the inside of the wing with the door open from about the level of the door mirror, you will see it. You can just get a spanner on the bolts (1/2 AF from memory)by poking it down the gap between the chassis frame and the wing.

Greg,
Thanks, I have the bolts you refer to out. They were difficult but not impossible. They are on the upper part of fender.
Something is holding the fenders (wings) down low around the level of the lower seam.. Drivers side view is blocked by the plastic tank. Passenger side I can see down in there with a flashlight but not seeing any bolt or screw heads. Even If I do find any I will still need a 2 foot plus long extension. Nothing on these cars is easy or straight forward.

OK
You have to remove the rear one of the two front wheelarch baffles. This will give you access to the self tappers holding the bottom of the wing to the end of the sill.
This pic shows the place the wings are attached to the sill. (I have put my washer bottle in this cavity).

Ahhh....I'll look for these bolts todays. That makes sense now that you have illustrated it. Thanks. I'll keep you posted on progress.

If you look in the photo, there are also self tappers up the vertical face of the wing at the rear of the photo, which I forgot to mark.

Okay,
I am slowly getting this figured out. I found the screws. Got a couple out but need a different taper (flatter) for the driver to get the screws out of the top position. When those come off I can see where I am going to have good access to the two screws holding the bottom in place.
Left wheel is stuck to the hub but hopefully PB Blaster loosens it up over the next day or two.
I hope to have fenders, doors, front bumper, radiator and oil cooler off or out this week.

Brad
The stuck wheel: Assuming the tyres have had it, use a huge hammer and whack the tyre sidewall. May need a few bashes.
