Before I could even drive, my dad and I found books 1,2, and 4 in the trunk of an XJS in the junkyard in Big Pine Key. He immediately spent the $20 to bring them home.
We had no idea I would end up buying an XJS years later and using them all the time. I have had my eyes peeled for the past 5 years of daily driving now, but when the service manuals do crop up online, it is a full set for $300 or just the first book for $150 or so.
I finally found the 3rd book last week and my set is complete.
Please feel free to PM me if you ever need information. I am all about posting pics from these manuals when people need them. I know they can be hard to find and the information can be privileged.
I'm eating this thing up, I've always wondered about different bits on the suspension and braking system. For example, the only way I have seen the front cradle bushings replaced required a support for the engine. The manual describes only using jackstands and a floor jack!
