Default Finally got to look into my top

Long story short, as some may remember, when I added fluid to my convertible top reservoir my top stopped working all together, and then I did find oil in my passenger side front floor board. Luckily the carpet is out. I haven’t gotten to mess with it much, the wife broke her elbow and if I’m not working I’m playing chauffeur, or nurse, or it’s been snowing, raining, or cold and windy. I really wish I would have built my heated garage lol! Today was a nice day and after we got home from therapy and shopping, I said I was going out to tinker! Yay! I opened the top and after some looking around my pump has lots of oil under it, the connectors look good all around. My left piston has a little bit of weeping and some rust on the shaft, but the right one is shot. Oil was running down the side and I guess it was chrome plated at some point because the whole shaft has major peeling and rust. I pulled my pump out, and decided that until I get parts, there’s not much more I can do. I guess I’m figuring to replace both pistons, and I may as well do the hoses now too. I figure I’ll replace the o-rings in the pump and hopefully that’ll do it.

Also, I have noticed that when I close my top, the rear window rubber seal pops out from around the corner of the window. Should it be glued or something?
