Default Finally have a top coat.

Took my '89 XJR-S into the paint shop Friday and just picked up today. Finally on the home run after quite a lot of spot repairs.

Looks great, you really striped it down. Now the hard part, trying to remember were all those parts go.

It spent 12 months on a rotisserie Gunner, totally stripped, and lots and lots of high res. photos makes reassembly that much easier.

Looks great.
Hopefully, mine will be ready for the paint booth by Autumn.

Maybe something is wrong with me, but, I've always liked the look of the XJS when it's stripped down like in your photos. It takes on a more muscular, and aggressive look without all the bumpers, grill, and chrome. Much like the old Alfa GTAs when they were prepped for the track.

Nothing wrong with you for thinking that, I agree to a point.

I just painted mine (last weekend). I didn't want to hijack your thread so I started another. New Paint Old Jag.
I didn't go as far with disassemble as you and I didn't take pictures
