already tried that. ive also tried putting a vacuum load on the ECU bellows to encourage the leanest mixture possible, and unplugging 6 injectors at a time.

Good idea. But forgive an obvious question: Are you absolutely sure the injectors are the right ones for the car? They had non-standard circular clips on the hoses. It might be worth having them professionally tested for flow rate, pattern, etc, even buying one new one to compare them with. Even checking the duration of the opening time with some sort of meter/wave form thingy?

There has to be a reason why the thing is so rich, I think it worthwhile investigating the injectors, once you are sure the underbonnet wiring and loom to the ECU is 100%. To be sure the loom is 100% to the ECU means looking in the wheelarch and under the carpet though.

Just an idea...

i agree. ive been suspecting the injectors were no good from the beginning. especially since the dude told me they had been cleaned and tested, although when i got home, i found that only 11 were actually working. im gonna look back into getting my L36 injectors working with standard fuel rail, because i believe them to be better qaulity, and so far, more reliable.
