Question Fitting fog lights - Please Help!

Hey Guys,
I'm trying to fit the front fog lights to my car. There is no current coming through the female bullet connector when the fig light is turned on. Tested with a volt meter. I have checked the designated fuse on the passenger side fuse box.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, My car is an 85 which has the only style wiring. I have the service manuals maybe I take a look in there. Not sure what to do?

Thanks

I'm still struggling with this. There is no power coming to the dedicated fuse for the front fog lights. As the lights are not fitted as standard, I must have to configure the wiring?

Please help any ideas?

It might get a little tricky as external lighting circuits and schemes vary from market-to-market. And even the USA-market cars used 2-3 variations over the years. Getting a wiring diagram specific to the UK version of your car would surely help.

There is probably a "shorting plug" somewhere under the dash. Take a peek; look for an odd plug on (most likely) red/yellow wires. Trace the red/yellow wires from the headlight switch and they might take you to the plug....if indeed there is one.

Lacking any of that I'm sure we can make your fog lights work one way or the other....but perhaps not exactly as Jaguar intended. Tell us how you want them to work and we'll figure out a way

Cheers

Not sure what you're saying here

Does it have a schematic showing the fog light circuit? If so, scan it and post it. We'll see what we can do.

Im going to try tracing the wires for the for lights, back from the front bumper, because I can see those wires. I could also trace from the turn switch for the lights under the dash.
Could I trace from the front fog light fuse on the passenger side fuse box?

I'm not sure how I want them to work as long as they work!

Thanks

I'm saying my car is a 1985 model with the 'bullet' style wire connectors for the fog lights, NOT the yellow plug style.
Hope that makes sense.
