Front Hub Seal Installation

Front Hub Seal Installation
Has anyone in this group found a great procedure for installing the strange hub seals at the end of the spindle on the XJS?
Basically, you have to press/tap it on to a non-tapered end of the spindle, and there is no way to easily do this without damaging the seal.
Do they make a tool for this? Just wanted to see what others have done as I have searched the forums and a few say wood blocks, carefully, etc.

If it's like my old XJR/X300, and it sounds like it is, I ruined several seals trying to install. Finally I used a piece of PVC pipe (2.5" ?) as an installer and hedged my bets by shaving just a wee tiny bit of material off the inside diameter of the seal.
Never had any grease oooozing.....which is a good thing because I vowed to never again attempt replacement
Cheers
