Front License Plate Mounting Without Bumper Holes

Front License Plate Mounting Without Bumper Holes
Has anyone come up with a workable way to mount a front license plate on a facelift XJS without drilling holes in the bumper for a mounting bracket (e.g., Genuine Jaguar License Bracket HHC6458BB)?
Is it possible to attach the plate (with or without bracket) to the lower grill? I know there are some specialized under-the-bumper devices, but haven't found one specific for the XJS.
Don't need it to be easily removable, just secure and non-destructive to the car.
Appreciate any suggestions.

I use EZ-pass tape or 3M dual lock. Done right and affixed to a clean surface it works great and can be removed and leave no trace.
P/N SJ4580 is specified for in and outdoor use.

Went Old School...
...and used some bungee cords for now. Two on top, one on the bottom, through their relative grills. A piece of carpet padding behind the plate prevents it from moving around and keeps the hooks away from the bumper.
If/when I decide on getting personalized plates I'll either fabricate an under bumper L-bracket or give in and attach the correct mounting plate with screws.

OK, maybe Quick & Dirty and not Old School...
Poor choice of words on my part, forgot who I was dealing with here! Maybe if I had used duct tape?
The goal was to get the front plate on quickly without any damage to the bumper, so I could pull it off when traveling to those states I frequent that don't require it. I actually did the attachment last Thursday evening in preparation for a long weekend of interstate travel. Unfortunately, the Cat developed an issue that night that required it to stay home. Took my less exciting but reliable SUV instead.
Of course all this will likely change when vanity plates happen - why get them and not display them coming and going?

Was thinking of attaching mine in a similar manner, but had two concerns:
- If plate visibility was hindered enough to cause the authorities to hassle me
- if plate location blocked airflow sufficiently to possibly cause an overheating issue
