Default Front lower shock mounts

As I am finishing up the steering rack R&R, I’ve noticed both lower shock mounts are broken where they fit over the lower ball joint threaded stud.

Is this a common problem?

The shock lower mount is secured by the outside two spring pan bolts and the lower ball joint nut. If it is cracked or the balljoint tab part of it is broken off, I would replace it or weld it.
