Default fuel pressure regulator leaking

The fuel pressure regulator on the left side is leaking fuel out the vacuum port. I'm going to assume that this is just a bad regulator...but is there anything else that might be going on to cause this?

Secondly, in looking for a replacement, I see that some parts dealer specify "inlet" side and "return" side, while other don't mention any difference in the regulators at all. Since I have to drain fuel to replace one, I might as well replace both, but I'm seeking clarity of if there is a difference between the two..especially since I can't seem to find a "return" regulator at all, but there are plenty of "inlet" regulators at decent prices.

Thanks,

John

Fuel coming out of the vacuum pipe can only mean the regulators kaput or at least AFAIK.

Can you look on an original jag parts list to find if they've got different part numbers?

Nope. It's toast :-)

RH regulator = inlet regulator

No absolute need to replace or even keep the inlet regulator. The engine will run perfectly well without it. Many guys ditch 'em
