Gave Myself A "Facelift"
What is a Jaguar enthusiast to do when their nut & bolt restoration project is taking longer than expected? Simple; buy another Jag to drive in the meantime!
Introducing my first "facelift" XJS, and my first 4 Litre Jaguar. Hard to believe my '86 has been off the road for nearly three years. Fingers crossed 2023 is the year that changes, but until then I have my Jag "fix"!

Thanks everyone. I'm really enjoying the creature comforts that the facelift has to offer. And the lighter AJ6 engine does wonders for the handling. Having a 4th gear is really nice too. The repair list is already growing but all straightforward stuff like the transmission mount, and front suspension bushes.
One thing, and I may well make a separate thread about this-
There is a relay-like clicking sound coming from behind the glovebox about every 30 seconds when the car is running. Whenever I hit the brakes the brake light relay either makes the same noise from the same area or the source of both "clicks" is one and the same. In both cases the clicking sounds are accompanied by the voltage gauge momentarily dropping from 15 to 13 volts, and the interior lights flicker. This happens on a roughly 30 second basis. Strange.
