Harisson A6 Compressor check

Sounds like you need to go over the system and replace all the O rings. What I do is I have and industrial hydrocarbon detector good for 5 ppm. I give the system about 30 psi of BBQ propane and then go over every joint with the gas detector. I can usually find any leaks quite quickly.

With the engine out is a good time to change the O rings on your expansion valve. Be very careful and gentle removing the nut, make sure to use a backup wrench on the valve so the evaporator is undisturbed. It's easy to break off the fitting, and then you are stripping out the dash to fit a new evaporator.
O rings are a standard size in most cases, usually #6,8 or 10. You can get kits that have a number of these. The O rings on the back of the compressor are different.
