Default hazard/heated window/interior light switch bulbs

Guys
Found something new out today. The lower dashboard switches for the hazards/heater rear window and the two interior lights (on pre-facelifts at any rate) have a switch illumination bulb that I have never come across before. I prised out the switch packs to see if I could improve their pathetic lighting and found one side had a duff bulb (one bulb serves the two siamesed switches). I found the following bulb type, that tok an hour to find online:
12v 2w BA7S. It is a small 1/4 inch wide 21mm long bayonet lamp, not pushfit, and astonishingly it is still available!

Default

Used in countless oldies cars, especially LBCs....and some not so little as well.

I recently ordered some LED replacements; we'll see how they work out. My experience with other LED replacement hasn't been all that great.

Cheers
DD
