Headlights Conversion / Updating

Looking for some advice...
I have a '94 XJS V12 Convertible. It works very well. One thing I have noticed though is the headlights and tail lights seem to be dim compared to my other cars.
Has anyone updated the light bulbs? Are there any easy fixes? Many thanks,
D.

I have a '93 coupe and I first upgraded the lights with HID bulbs. Most unsatisfactory because they couldn't be focus properly. It's not the bulb, it is the reflector in the car.
I then switched to Stark 80 watts each 9004 LED Bulbs. They were so good that I bought another pair for my Lincoln. No modifications were needed for the XJS, but on the Lincoln I need to remove some plastic. Both set were purchased thru Amazon and cost $45.00 for two bulbs. These bulbs are bright. and have no filaments. I would suggest a 5000k or 6000k bulb. These project and appear as a white light. Over 6000k starts the blue lights and below 5000k you are in the yellow spectrum. The 5 and 6000k pertain to color not intensity.
