Default Help With 84 V12 Vacuum Line

Just finishing up putting on new cam cover gaskets and new intake gaskets and have a couple of lines that were unhooked when I bought the car. These must not be critical as they were unhooked when I drove the car home but would like to know what they are for regardless. The one with the "filter" was just zip tied to the engine. Does the other line go on the nipple that is on the crossover pipe?

The one with the filter (actually a solenoid valve for extra air) is wired to come on with the aircon compressor to give a little more oomph to the tickover under these circumstances. It is not part of the ignition vac system. It pokes into a rubber grommet on the inside front part of the A bank air cleaner, and the other end goes to the manifold, downstream of the throttlr butterfly, usually on a largish spigot underneath the A and throttle body.
This pic, NOT my engine! shows it marked up

Oh stupid me. I read "vacuum line" and "filter" and immediately jumped to the dist vent system.

Thanks, Greg, for paying more attention than I did

Cheers

#1 Issue: Yup, I see the hole in the air cleaner box where that solenoid would go, just needs a new grommet. Thanks. Not sure why it wasn't in place.
- Where does the end of hose connect?

#2 Issue: Where does the long end of this vacuum line connect? There is an open port under the blue electrical connector???

to be more specific on Greg's earlier comment -

issue #1 - put your hand under the rhs throttle body. you will feel a nipple there. little bigger then normal. that's where the hose attaches to. you cant see it with your eyes but you will feel it. to tighten the clamp you may have to remove the air box if you got sausage fingers.

Well, this does not looks like a 84 V12... Or was it retrofitted with ABS?
