Help finding an upgraded radio for my 86
I’ve been looking into getting a different radio for a minute now but I have recently acquired the funds to do so. I’m not so wondering what brands people here have put in their cars and what adapters were needed for the wiring and all that jazz. Any help is greatly appreciated.

cstrad_8,
There will be many views, but a number of us have fitted Alpine Units. See here for a forum where I describe the installation:
Audio Upgrade Project - www.jec.org.uk
Although there will be differences in your pre-facelift car, the principle is broadly the same. The one thing i would suggest is that you don't butcher the original wiring. You'll find a Jaguar to ISO adapter fairly easily I would think. I paid £4.99 for my one.
Good luck
