Another question to anyone who knows about electrics. They're not my strong point
I've put in a whole new leather interior and got the old proverbial 1 wire left over and where the heck does that connect to?
Its the DAC 2081 Seat belt logic connectors on this little loom.
I have the two small black and purple feeding into it from under the ski slope. It divides into two connectors of equal length labelled passenger and drivers that's clear these two connect to each seat belt receiver alongside the centre tunnel. Each of these two connectors connect via the two pin joiners all good here , but then there's a much longer (about 2 and a half feet long also labelled passenger. So I took out both seats and the the centre console looking for a joiner to connect this long lead to. Nothing there?
I can only assume it's a left over for those XJS's that have rear seats with seat belts? Is it? I dunno
One thing Im learning real quick is never assume anything about jags everything has its place logical or not?
Anyone shine a little light on this? My XJS is a two seater with rear cargo box and is a convertible 88 Series 3 V12 now a 5 speed manual
Help please

These are part of the the looms for the seat belt warning light. In principle they plug into the seat belt buckle (from which a plug emerges) and there is also a "switch" under the seat squab that is part of this warning light circuit, also with a plug that connects up. The system works by the seat sensor switching on the warning light if it has a weight on the sqab, and then the warning light circuit being opened by plugging in the seat belt to the buckle.
These looms in your photo are part of one of these circuits. They connect up to the main loom under the console somewhere.
