Default Help Identifying These Hoses

The shorter hose goes from the air cleaner to the AAV. The longer hose was supposed to replace it, but is clearly the wrong part. Does anyone know what the correct part number is? I tried the usual part suppliers but the long hose is the only hose I see listed for this application.

Failing that, does anyone have any ideas of how I can repair the original hose? I eased its release with a utility knife before I discovered its unavailability. Its got a nice smooth cut about 3/4" long. I tried grey silicone already, it didn't hold. Maybe black?

I think what you got is EAC8717. I think was you need is EAC7968.....which indeed shows as NLA from Jaguar.

The difference, I think, is that the longer version is for cars with ABS.

You might find a suitable elbow hose and somehow modify it to accept a nipple for the distributor vent.

Or, route you distributor vent hose to another source. I have mine going to a nipple on the backside of the LH air filter housing.

This is the fix I did for a friend. First cut a normal 90 degree silicone hose to the right shape to replace he OEM one you cut. Then insert one of these for the take-off to the distributor ventilation.
