I found these wires taped up and tucked down in the corner of engine bay, maybe to the cd player in the trunk?( It has been removed.)
the last pic shows the approximate location. All 4 wires go into the loom. 95 XJS 4.0L, convertable
I looked on my 96 AJ16 and did not see anything similar. However, I did find the same clip connector on my 95 6.0 that was not connected to anything. I would guess those wires could have been used for something in other countries or perhaps it was a wiring loom left over from an earlier model and used until they ran out. Neither car has the spade connectors you show.
The bigger twin pin connector is for the turn signal repeater lights used on Euro cars. The light mounts where the Jaguar emblem is on US spec cars on the rear portion of the front fenders. The emblem covers the hole for the light. You will find the connector's twin taped up on the other side of the car. I put in the repeater lights on my 95 V12, getting rid of the emblems.
I don't know what the other two wires with the single connectors are for. I don't have them on my car. But none of the wires under the hood are for the audio system.
I just figured out what the other two wires/connectors are for, the Yellow/red and black/pink. If you had a manual transmission on your 4 liter, those are for a clutch actuated switch to disengage cruise control if you push the clutch while cruise is engaged. Late V12's never had a manual option, which is why my car doesn't have them.
Thanks Ron and Rick . Glad you could identify these , figured it was something not on my car, new car to me so I’m doing a lot of poking around. Not too many surprises so far. Car is in great condition for 116500 mi. I love it !!
