Help -need driverside front seatbelt buckle and both passenger side seatbelt buckle
Hi
i have a 1994 xjs coupe --i bought it used. I guess the coupes get so hot inside that it cracked and broke the driverside front seatbelt buckel (female end) as well as both driverside and passenger side rear seatbelt buckles. Passenger side is fine
does anybody have these?? My car has a tan interior. Can get exact interior code if needed. Let me know.
Greatly appreciated
thanks
jeff

jeff,
As Greg has mentioned, Jaguar still have a few buckles for some of the colours (although not many). The key element is knowing the right colour. For most of the late facelift XJSs, the seatbelt colour is not the same colour as the core seat trim code, but a complementary colour. You need to know what your actual trim colour and then we can advise you of the complementary colour (seatbelts, upper dash etc). Your colour won't be "Tan" (although I appreciate that Jaguar's naming convention isn't necessarily intuitive!). The 3-letter trim colour code is located on a label just above the LH headlight visible when the bonnet is open.
Hope that helps

The color code is also located on a tab of the driver's door frame. The code is a 3 letter annotation. Also go to the web and key in Jaguar interior color codes. You will see a list of colors with their respective code. I have a 93 XJS that had the exact same problem you are having. I had to order new/used buckles (eBay). The challenge is in replacing them. The seat has to be unbolted and slanted in order to get to the bolt that holds down the buckle.
