Home fabbed stuff
Is there any problems with me posting stuff possibly for sale as I build them for my car?
For instance:
I posted earlier about a shift knob I am making for my 90. How I make it depends on if I am going to make only the 1 prototype for myself or if anyone else wants one. This isn't a business for me however the skills required to make the parts are what I do for a living. Another example is I plan on making an enclosure (pod) for my Garmin Nuvi to mount to the top of my dash. I will try and make it look like a factory option. If I make just one for myself I will simplify it for a 1 time build and more than likely fab it from fiberglass. If someone else would like one I would make a more complex mold and cast it from resin. I really hate the suction cup mount and corrisponding extra long cable hanging down! So far I plan on making the pod smooth and covering it in a matching vinyl to the dash. I will then use 3M Dynoc vinyl to cover the GPS in wood grain that matches my current wood grain, again trying to make it look factory.
In the end I don't want to annoy anyone with posts for future sale if they aren't appreciated.
Thanks
