How Do I Remove the Convertible Top

Well, I got it. I guess that makes me the authority on removing tops. It seemed a terrible ordeal, but, looking back it wasn't that bad. Haha. Me, my wife, then we enlisted the aid of the owner. 3 hours. There is a bracket on both sides, there are 3 bolts on the inside, and, 3 on the outside of each bracket. Each bolt is hard to reach, and, must be held on the other side because it will spin. So, 12 of these 14mm bolts. Then there is a rail holding the bottom of the top to the car. A 1/2 inch bolt on each side, a screw in the center. Any other random bolts on the brackets, like one holding the hydraulic ram, I can't remember all of them, it's all a blur. Then, horse it off. Anyway, its for a 1988 Jaguar, which is a Hess and Eisenheardt top. It doesn't fit my 1989. I knew that as soon as I got there, but, decided to get it anyway. So, now I have a tan H & E convertible top in nice condition, with a glass window, that I CAN'T USE.
