How much freon and oil for 92 XJS V12

![Question](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I seem to have a slow leak in my A/C system and plan on draining the system, changing the dryer and recharging using a leak sealant as well as topping up with regular freon and oil.
My questions are;
1) How much total freon does the 92 XJS V12 take including the seal sealant in pounds?
2) Do I need to add A/C oil when recharging the system? If so, how much?
Thanks for your help.
Stephen

You will need to provide more information.
I believe your 1992 may still have R12?
My 96 requires 32 oz of R134a +/- 1.75oz.
The amount of oil is a bit tricky. It depends on what it is you are replacing. If it is a simple evacuate and recharge, I would probably not add any oil.
If you are replacing the condenser, and drier, I would add 1 oz of PAG oil. If you are replacing the compressor, then you would have to add back the 4 oz that you have removed from the system.
