Ron,
I got into some serious spats with people recently over these "Golf Buggy", AKA Electric Cars.

I have, and always will, claim "alternative fuels should be encouraged, buy another V12", and maybe, as of today, looking at another one myself, I do miss the V12.

I dont begrudge anyone with the economy mystery of the V12.

I consider myself lucky, we had NO emissions junk, the 12.5:1 engine, NO mountains, some serious hills, NO mountains, basically FLAT as a pancake.
450+kms without a town or another car is "normal".

I do watch the kms per tank, and near enough is OK by me.

That car has the Big Throttle Bodies, 16CU ECU, no AAV, no balance pipe, etc etc. It is as good and basic as it can be.

I run our 98RON, its just easier at my age than trying to remember which Jag I am in at the bowser, and what fuel it "should" take, so they all get the 98, life goes on.

We are at AUS$1.66/ltr, and that is insane to me. Hence the X Type is now the DD.

As Doug has said, if I also use the Cruise more, it could be better, maybe, but that is just too boring to contemplate.

At least I am still better than the old Road Train, 1ltr per km, fully loaded.

pic of my AFR control knob,, when i'm on a long flat hyway i watch my AFR gage, and can lean it out till it loses power then a slight tweak back richer!
seems as tho the early preHE flat chamber dont mind running lean!
i cant make it ping even with a lot of ignition advance !

AFR control knob, and assorted swtches! i like to be in control of my V12!
