I don't know what is this on my car
Does my v12 have 2 extra injectors?
Some mechanic advised me to replace rubber hoses. I thought I would start with the fuel hoses. Take them all out. As I was looking at it, I found many parts whos purpose I have no idea about. In the air ontake part is one extra part with fuel going to it, power going to it. Both cylinder banks have this. Maybe my v12 has 14 injectors?
My car is a 1977 preHE 5.3 V12, swiss built, originally probably bought in the Netherlands. It should be close to factory specs as it passed hungarian classic examination. A couple weeks ago, too. Any modifications would supposedly make it fail.

Jani129,
Nice car! I have a 79 pre-HE.
Even from that small pic, it looks as if your engine bay is quite tidy.
Whilst you're changing all the injector hoses, I'd suggest you also change the injection wiring loom. They get extremely hot in the V of the engine and the wiring becomes brittle and dangerous. A great time to do it whilst you've got everything off the top end. Also get the injectors checked and cleaned.
Cheers

Thanks!
I thought I would skip the hoses between the rails and the injectors, I watched a video on youtube by "Living with a classic" Adam, how to change those, I thought I would need a package of the correct plastic and rubber parts. The other fuel hoses seem pretty standard, I could just go to a rubber parts shop and have several meters of that hose which I can cut and use clamps that he could also give.I went to mr injector website, i don't know which injector kit fits this car's injectors. I don't know where to get the correct plastic and rubber parts for those, so I would skip this until that q is resolved. The mechanic pointed to the hose just after the fuel filter as the one he thinks is leaking.

From the tank to the engine bay the fuel enters here.
The first hose is longer, in the niddle is attached to the metal sheet with this thing.
There is a metal piece in the pipe on the way to the fuel filter
A piece of rubbing protection
Fuel then enters the fuel filter
Supposedly this is the joint that leaks, as fuel exits the fuel filter
This is the metal hose that branches to left bank and right bank
The now branched fuel enters the right bank's distirbution line here
have more photos, took photo of all the rubber fuel hoses in the engine bay even including the ones between the metal fuel rails and the injectors which I am too tinid to replace just yet...should I post even more I wonder

I wonder where this stands on the line between excessive photography and something useful. It is useful to me at least, maybe people discover something or make other useful comments. But it is a lot of photos, intended originally to help me reassemble after taking it all out and taking it to a rubber hose specialist shop to get new hoses.

You need to check exactly which injectors you have but the likelihood is that you need this injector kit.

Also ensure that the fuel hose you buy is ethanol-compatible not older fuel hose.
