Seems like some good reviews mixed with consistent build quality complaints. Ronbros, you were able to customize your XJS because you know your way around an engine....not so sure you would be able to avoid some of the troubles these cars have.

Supercars are great till you own them, I've had a few and every single one was a money pit and an unreliable bucket - not to mention not particularly comfortable, wouldn't have one gift wrapped now just too much hassle - my SV8 is the closest I'll go to that territory now but I prefer my old less 'complex' machines nowadays - at least I can work on them. I can't do as much as I'd like on the SV8 because the tooling prices and cost to access Jaguar systems is obscene for somebody that doesn't make a living doing it. To work on a lot of these cars a computer and access to the dealer facilities is mandatory, you ain't fixing one of these with a wet finger and guesswork, to do even simple jobs often requires the engine removed - I have the scars - no thanks, never again.
