Default Idle finally @ 750

I have to use an * though. I did it with a very minor mod. It is evident my AAV isn't working correctly. I used very thin, high temp aluminum tape. I covered the hole within the air filter housing. You can within 2 minutes use a pin to increase idle speed if needed in the cooler weather. I'll work on that AAV in the fall. It is a different car @ 750 idle for sure.

You'll want to disconnect the distributor vent hose where it attaches to the AAV hose or you'll end up at the side of the road with the innards of the distributor soaking wet with engine oil.

Ask me how I know.

Cheers

You're gonna make me CONFESS? How cruel!

I tried the same thing on a V12 once.....blocking off the inlet to AAV. And the end result was a distributor full of oil. Took a couple days. It wasn't my car either. I was trying to save a "I'm tight for money" guy $300 for a new AAV.

No good deed (or poorly conceived plan) goes unpunished :-)

I re-routed the distributor vent to the back side of the air filter housing. All's well since then.

Cheers

Part of my day job is to get the confession so we can resolve the concern. But anyway I was just poking fun.
