Default Injectors overhaul, cant identify the part

Hi forum, can i have the title for the newbie with the most questions here? joking, or not...

So, im planning a big project at least for me, fuel lines, injectors, spark plugs, cap, rotor, ignition wires, vlave cover gasket and etc
already got a list what i need, except this part, i cant see it clearly, is it a seal, hose, connection, where do i get it, my rail without those fuel hoses like i saw on all other cars, manuals, videos even on SNG Baratt it shows me schematics for the rail with hoses , not mine.

Thank you

mouserider,

Your setup seems completely standard for a facelift 5.3 engine. If you look at the parts website (or even the SNG Barratt website), you'll see that the injectors do attach directly to the fuel rail as per your car. I think you may have been looking at pictures of pre-facelift engines.

It's always helpful to look at the Jaguar parts website first to understand the layout and part numbers.

Cheers

Paul

That is a clip that I am familiar on AJ16 engines. They basically lock the injector in place. They pop out unexpectedly when removing, so be careful. I lost one once and they are a pain to source (but are available from most any Jaguar parts reseller). Delayed completing my project for a while.

Basically pull them out from the other end.
