Interior for XJS V-12

Does anyone know if the front seats of a 1991 XJS V-12 will fit into a 1986 XJS V-12. There some seat covers that I really like but they will not fit the 1986. The head rest on the 1986 isn't adjustable and the seat covers on cover the 1991 and up models. Or, do you know a place I check out that has nice seat covers that will cover the 1986 model.
TIA,
J.C.

The seat fixings and runners on the later seats (the 1991 car) are closer together than the fixings on the earlier car. The captive nuts in the chassis are therefore at a different width. To fit the later seats you will have to modify the chassis floorpan fixings to get the later seats bolted in. This will require a welded modification to the floorpan brackets on the outboard side.

lseat.com has covers of the '86, and you might find this thread helpful:

I did use him a long time ago. I shipped my 2 front seats and my back seat. They/he did great work. I may be wording this wrong but I am looking for a nice cover to go over my seats. I found what I wanted (style, quality, color) but it would only fit over the 91s and older due to the headrest. My seats are OK but could use a make over but for now a nice cover over will do.
Again thanks!
Again thanks!
