It's in my Genes !
Hi!
I just got my DNA results back from Ancestry and it says I'm 70% British
and 16% Irish ! The rest is East European.
No Wonder I love Jaguars!
It's in my blood to love British made cars!
The East European DNA part doesn't seem to affect me.
I have no hankering for Alfa Romeos, Ferraris, Maseratis, Peugots or Fiats.
I did own a Triumph TR6 for awhile. Then I upped my sights
and went all out for the Jaguars !
I bet my blood platelets look like little tiny Jaguar leapers!
Does anyone else think their genetic makeup influences their preference
for the type of automobiles they own?

Say, are there any Scotch distilleries in the SE U.S. .
I'M jealous of the dudes in Scotland having an outing that tours some
Local distilleries there.
Somehow a tour of local Ga/NC/TN moonshine facilities in Jaguars doesn't
Seem to fit theme of a Jaguar outing.
My gene pool is making me ask this. . .

I'd tend to agree with you. My mother was English and didn't come to the US until she was 30, and all my relatives still live in the UK. All of my classic bikes (mostly Triumphs, along with a couple of Norton & a Royal Enfield) and cars (An MGA, Mini Cooper, and TR6) have always been British - never cared much for any US muscle or vintage cars. For a while my daily driver was an X Type, and I've just purchased an original owner 1987 XJ-SC in extremely good condition. Can't be any other reason for this addiction other than it being genetic!

Anyone that likes dark ale has to have British in their genes. I love
Bass, Harp, Guiness ales. Scotch and Irish whiskies are indeed the waters
Of life. The XJS sales would have gone up if a beer/ale or nice malt whiskey
had been named after it!
Give me some ale and my British eyes will be smiling!
