JAGUAR BRAKE REMOTE BLEED KIT - Rear brakes install with IRS in place - how easy?
The following are the instructions, i was going to buy the stahlbus quick bleed valves but thought this kit would be better as it is a one off purchase that will make my life easier for years to come. Anyone have this kit and how easy to install without removing IRS...
Remote Bleed Kit for Jaguar IRS Brakes - Fosseway PerformanceFosseway Performance
Installation Raise the vehicle and support securely in a manner that permits the suspension to extend to its full travel to remove any compression from the spring assemblies. Remove the back wheels Consult your workshop manual on the removal of the front spring / shock absorber assembly from each side of the rear suspension. Follow these instructions making sure you do not remove the rear spring / shock absorber assembly as this will allow the suspension arm, hub assembly and drive shaft to drop which may cause damage or injury. With the spring / shock absorber assembly removed there is clear access to the bleed nipple on each of the inboard rear calipers. It is important that you thoroughly clean around the bleed nipple on each caliper with a wire brush.
How long and difficualt is it to do the above? I have NO idea.
Thanks

I have these and fitting them is easy. but you must, repeat must, buy Fosseway's brass banjo fitments as well as their flexible brake lines:
these do two things: make the fitment far easier; and also mean removing the flexibles can be done without ever having to unscew the fitment from the actual caliper - you just undo the top cap.
All you have to do is clean around the old nipple with some aerosol brake cleaner; then remove the old nipple and put it in the place you put such things; then screw in the brass fitment placing the washers where they should go, and then add the banjo and top washer and the brass cap.
This will take all of 10 mins.

Hi Duke
Just a thought
If you are going to undo the Springs in order to lower the 'drop arm' you need to be really Careful as the 'drop arm' could drop without Warning and take your fingers off!
Also tie it up so it can't drop, not just because of the above but because it could damage the bottom plate by squeezing it where it pivots (near the bottom plate)
Although if you have any thoughts about changing the Rotors, then now might be the time to think about it

After reading everyone comments. i agree it was just TOO much money. The kit looks excellent and would be a great addition.
But the fact is it is a lot of money and that could be better spent.
So while I still wanted to do something to make flushing the brake system easier, I went with the Stahbus bleeders.
$140 USD for 4 x bleeders.
M10x1.0x16mm & 4 x caps
I have these in my bikes and they are excellent.
Take off the cap, attach rubber hose drop in to jar. open bleeder and pump.
Once the fluid is clear, tighten bleeder.
One man job.... just the way we like it!
Access is easy as I have the ramps.
Put a rubber hose on the nipple
