I have come into the possession of a set of 4 authentic Jaguar Dayton Chrome Spokes that were on a car of my Grandfather's in the early to mid 1990s. When I received the rims they were coated in a thick layer of brake dust. I have since cleaned some of the dust off, but I am now just looking to get rid of them. I have no idea of the potential worth of these rims nor if there is a genuine market for them. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'd list them on the Marketplace here if you haven't already. Clean them up with a quality wheel cleaner as much as you can and take several photos. Many people like the wire wheels look on their Jag. They are very heavy, so shipping them to a buyer will not be cheap. They were most likely swapped onto the car for the oem wheels by the selling dealer, along with a price markup, when the car was first sold. 80's and 90's Jags didn't leave the factory with those. My XJS came with a set of the same style Daytons and I think I sold them for around $600 or $700 plus shipping. That was about 10 years ago.
