The filters inside the injectors are only accessable when the inlet hose to the injector is removed. But if the missing is only on one bank, I would look at the ignition first, and then check compression. If you remove the compressor belt, you can move it out of the way without disconnecting the freon lines.

One thing that I learned on another site, is that the fuel hoses dry and crack. They will then spray fuel and cause fires. I had a small fire due to this, fortunately I had a fire extingisher handy and had no significant damage. I intended to rebuild the dist due to a frozen mechanical advance, and bad vac advance. The bottom line is that I took it all apart and did everything at once.

Well I dont think I have a fuel leak. I do smell fuel though when I roll down the window. Fuel lines were actually replaced recently. The compressor doesnt even have a belt on it so I just need to unbolt it.

Or it could be towards the back of the engine where the throttle body is. But I cant get to those either. Ill be heading to a garage tommorrow with more tools to access the rest. Then I can look at fuel issues.

So what you are saying is one bank is smooth and the other is missing, so the easiest way to diagnose is to disconnect each injector plug one at a time. To do this I removed all of the clips from the injector plugs with the engine off (just makes it easier to pull the connectors while the engine is running).

Then with the engine running remove 1 injector plug at a time if the bank drops onto 4 cylinders put that plug back on and remove the next one until the bank stays on 5 cylinders voila.

To diagnose what it is you can swap lead, injector and spark plug with another cylinder. Remember to move both ends of the lead.

Cheers W
