I can have two "not readys" and pass inspection. My scanner shows "no error codes". I used to disconnect the battery during the winter and then connect it and drive the car around my driveway a few times every month. No rain, salt or sand is going on my baby. We got a lot of rain last winter so the salt and sand would be washed away and I got to take her more often. I never flunked an emission test doing this. I don't put much milage on it. I've had the car since 2002. It had 47,000 miles on it and now it has 53,000. I take it up to around 100MPH or more a few times a year. It is the first time I got an "check engine" lite. Once it was fixed no more "check engine" lite but the three monitors won't re-set themselves. I have put 300 miles on it in two weeks (I hate that) and still the same thing.. what a pain in the ***. F**k global warming.
