Absolute great book written from a personal point of view, as well as knowledgeable, and I've only read through 3 or 4 sections. The factory service manual is cut and dry, typical British. Mr Kirby uses much more personal wording, and insite that helps in understanding. Thanks to Mr Kirby.

Second having both the green book and the kirby book. Plus an active participation in this forum, which oftentimes helps clear any ambiguity or misunderstanding at a lightning speed

Yep. That is true. The main reason why I bought the book was basically only for the ignition system and ABS system.

Use every resource possible. The parts catalog, for example, makes a pretty good assembly manual in many cases.

Kirby's book is great. It has info, insight, and advice you'll never find in the factory service manual.

Cheers
