Default le Mans XJS - what are the specs?

there is a genuine 1991 le Mans XJS for sale in NZ
It is number 122
some sites say only 100 cars were made, elsewhere 200
a number of sites say the engine was 'improved' but I cannot find specifics

Who can fill in the gaps for me?
thanks

The Le Mans special edition was entirely a matter of cosmetics. No mechanical changes from the normal car of any sort were made. The US - style twin headlamps were fitted, the interior was a bit better than standard (piped seat leather etc etc), badging and that's it.

According to Nigel Thorley's book "You and Your Jaguar XJS", there were 280 Le mans models built. The engine/transmissions were the same as standard, all the changes were cosmetic. He lists:

US style 4 headlamp set up
Gold growler badge on bonnet
Twin gold coachlines along the sides
Le Mans V12 badge on rear
The car had the SportsPack suspension upgrade and lattice wheels
Upgraded interior including piped autolux leather and Le Mans embossed on headrests
Wilton carpeting
contrast piping on door pockets and armrest and leather gear knob
Higher grade walnut veneer used

Just had this direct from JDHT archive section:

Thank you for your enquiry. There were 100 "Le Mans Celebration" XJR-S cars in 1988, and 280 "Le Mans" XJ-S cars in 1990.

By all accounts, the first 100 were for the European market.
