Default Leak at "distributor" and trunk carpet question

Ok so I was looking around in the engine bay of my 93 4.0 convertible and I noticed a decent looking leak where the "distributor" or whatever it actually is called on this engine, I don't think it's actually a dizzy. At the same time I noticed at the base of said dizzy that there is a slotted hole with a bolt in it which makes me wonder, even though I know the computer handles all of that, if the timing could actually be tweaked there. I don't see a drip line or anything from my can cover gasket and my oil shows full. However I did notice that my power steering fluid is low. Unless a seal really blew out I don't know how "all that" fluid would have gotten up there. Also in my trunk while the previous owner was trying to figure out the no start situation he ripped the carpet away from the clips. Has anyone successful fixed this problem in theirs?

Hi Timeisrelative

You could try 'Stick on Velcro' in the Boot/Trunk to put the Carpet back in place

It's what I did with mine

Sorry no Photos of that as my 95 is still in 'Mothballs'

Good idea! I didn't think about that! Oh and I was informed that my leak is probably from my head gasket drrrrrrrrrrrr!

I posted to you on JagLovers that the head gasket is a common problem.

I used the newer AJ16 head gasket on the AJ6 engines since they were available.

Lots of work but it is the solution.

Yes sir I saw. I should have said that you were the one that mentioned it. Good to know that the AJ16's gasket will work on the AJ6! Thanks again for your input!
