LED Brake Lights

I searched through this forum and general web as well, an overwhelming number of choices. Really looking for a recommendation from anyone who has had a good experience with a particular brand/model.
Also I'm fairly certainly the two main brake lights are 1157s, not sure what bulb type the spoiler mounted 3rd brake light is.

This site compares lumen output so you can get a sense of brightness.
https://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/...ber,1157,1,41:
My understanding from reading and seeing photos is that a white LED will wash out a red lens, making it appear almost pinkish. A red LED with be a brighter red.

inertian,
Give Gil Keane a call at Quicksilver Automotive (bettercarlighting.co.uk)
The website is a bit messy but if you do a search for "XJS" on it, you should find the products. Gil has developed kits specifically for XJS, and has also got polarity-independent bulbs for the warning lights etc.
I'm about to purchase and install his side, brake and indicator kits.
Good luck

I have Gil's LED headlights and reversing lights installed, just need to confirm which of his tail and brake light kits is the right one for my car ('95 V12 convertible with spoiler mounted 3rd brake light):
https://www.bettercarlighting.co.uk/...&productId=701
https://www.bettercarlighting.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=387
https://www.bettercarlighting.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=862
Anyone know the correct LED replacement for the 3rd brake light, before I remove the lens to take a look (if it ever stops raining here)?

inertian,
I spoke with Gil this morning and have clarified that the new super Canbus LEDs that they have developed SHOULD mitigate the need to have the previous more complex resisted kit to fool the bulb failure system. So the ones you need are:
Quicksilver Automotive - 380UHP Red Super CanBus LED bulbs Pair (bettercarlighting.co.uk)
I have ordered a pair myself for my 94 4 litre.
Gil mentioned that there have been very rare occurrences where on some XJSs, the failure system still reports a bulb failure. If this happens, he'll then provide a small resisted lead to go into the earth connection which cures the problem.
He's not sure what is the 3rd light bulb on US cars, so he suggested that you remove yours first and he'll be able to provide the appropriate LED replacement.
Hope that helps. I'll get mine installed as soon as they arrive and take some pics and post here.
Cheers
