Left Front Turn Signal Out

Left Front Turn Signal Out
Howdy All,
EDIT: I just got a hold of the '93 electrical guide; this is going to be the left-hand turn signal indicator light in the dashboard, isn't it?
- The left front turn signal light stopped working after I bought the car.
- All the other lights work; the right-hand turn signal operates normally, the left-hand signal clicks at double rate and the left rear light blinks.
- The right-hand turn signal indicator light flashes normally; the left-hand turn signal indicator does not light up at all.
- I have replaced both bulbs in the front with no change.

Well, I found the problem, anyway, and this is pretty common according to my research.
The problem was: the light bulb socket had started to corrode and wasn't supporting a solid connection, no matter how new and shiny the bulb itself was. You can easily clean up the socket with an abrasive, but this will destroy whatever is left of the galvanizing and the socket will really corrode out post haste from there.
Depending on your MY, finding a replacement could be cheap and easy or quite the opposite. This is where I learned early on how much variation there is in XJS parts. I bought a replacement lamp off a breaker on Ebay that was in great shape for cheap, but I was off by two years and the pigtail I got was for 1 filament (2-wire), whereas my '93 takes a 2 filament (3-wire) pigtail with completely different connectors.
D'oh!
