Isn't it necessary to also know the O.D. of the lug/nut you are using in order for it to fit in the wheel stud bore, which I thought is specific to Jaguar. Since it is not really a tapered lug where that kind would normally automatically centralize each stud opening, the fitment depends on a very close tolerance of each lug in the bore of the wheel holes...and the proper depth too.
The lugs I use on my Daytons are a certain shoulder length for the wire wheels. When I had a flat and had to use my original wheel which was one of the of the original 5 spokes, the shoulder was too long. The 5 spoke wheel grip thickness at the hole bore must be thinner than the Daytons. The lug nut bottomed out before cinching down on the 5 spoke to make it tight and didn't know that until I started driving and could hear knocking of a loose wheel. Lugs were tight but wheel wasn't. Had to stop to buy some very thick washers that would fit around the OD of the lug and place enough of them on each lug for the lug to actuality pull in and set the wheel for a good torque. Nerve racking tire change.
So anybody have the exact shoulder length of the lug for the 5 spoke used on the 95 MY? Sorry to hijack.

i'm getting some new Dayton spline drive wire wheels. i'm assuming you have the 5 lug wheels that Dayton made at one time, they no longer make a 5 lug wire wheel. I need plain old lug nuts to secure the adapter to the lugs and was wondering if they were a SAE thread or a metric thread

According to the original post and reply, the thread is a 1/2 by 20.
You are correct in that my Daytons are the bolt on style that match the original 5 lug hub arrangement. I would imagine you would be getting spline drive adapters that would just bolt to your original hubs but would now use plain bolts, possibly countersink style. They would be unseen behind your new wire wheel centers.

My lugs look like this type for the bolt on Daytons:

the wheels come with the adapters but no lug nuts. I found 2 in my can of bolts I have saved for years. i'll have to get more once I verify that they will not interfere with the adapters
