I think this just means they will get more and more rare to the point it will eventually affect their value.

i been waiting close to 20yrs, and as you know the older a car gets the more that goes wrong!

by the time an XJS gets old enough to be RARE, it will still need loads of money to bring it back.

hows this for an insult, i have been offered $1500. my immaculate V12 1978, restored roadster!! complete resto engine full overhaul, trans up grade to a 4spd auto, full suspension rebild, complete interior redo , custom leather seats, paint alone $7000. plus body work.

wheels and tires 10-18-275.

custom fuel system, polyetheylene tank no more rust(EVER).

car has Zero rust! never been in a rain since done, 1995. 23,000 miles on the odmeter.

had it long enough, that had to do a complete front brake overhaul(last month), EBC Gold series Sport rotors, Wilwood calipers, HAWK HPS pads, new bearings, SS lines. (i posted on this site).

OK enough rant, someone has the power to undermine these wonderful cars,
its like the powers that be, really do have control!

Ok, obviously $1,500 for your car is ridiculous. For a 35 year old car you can't even get a quote on KBB. It needs to be properly appraised IMO.
