Here they aren't markers, they are indicators (trafficators?) and a legal requirement for this age of car. I think I would get bounced on the test without them but I am sorely tempted to 'delete' them as they would be very easy to restore if necessary.

OK, but when I built a kit car in1987 side indicator repeaters were necessary. The thing is that a lot of testers don't even know the rules so you can slip things past them.

true. given the option i would absolutely remove mine, but i dont plan on doing body work on my XJS, ever.

i found a little shop that barely checks anything and i all of my cars to them for inspection, including my catless cars.

I've just been putting the first top coat on my brand new right front wing and it has no holes in for the lamp. There's no way I'm drilling it so I'll fill up the holes in the old patched up left and see if anyone notices.

Guy is gonna take her in, do entire prep and paint to "showroom like" condition, all that (including doing window frames and B pillar panels in black), $3K.

Here she is, awaiting the future. Meanwhile, we have no more turn repeaters, or antenna hole...

I kinda like seeing my antenna go up when I hit the radio. One of those little anachronisms which make the car special. Of course, the smooth look is cool as hell too.
