Ok, here’s mine. Bought it from a friend who was the original owner. I remember the day he drove it off the lot.

The car has had several mods done to it over the years. Previous owner installed different springs and shocks, exhaust, MSD ignition and 3.73 gears in the rear. He was planning on a 5 speed conversion next before some life changes came along ending with the car being put away in his garage for the last 10 years. He called me about 6 months ago saying the car had to go and would I be interested in having it. Uhh…yeah!

Are you running the original TH400 transmission? How is that with the 3.73 gears? how fast is the engine turning at 70 mph?

Yes, still has the TH400 trans. I haven’t driven it much since I got it so I can’t speak to the performance yet. After I get everything sorted out I will most likely go with a 4 spd automatic.
I currently have the entire interior out to clean and install sound deadening. When I took the interior out I found the back window was leaking so to remove the back window to see what was going on. Looks like the seal was dry and water was entering in the lower corners. Other than that, the car is in very nice condition.

Since we appear to be on the subject of Celebrations here's mine. I was going to write up a nice First Year of Ownership summary in July but it being a Jaguar and all... it kind of ending up needing some "love" so I actually just got her back this week and I'm happy to report that she is purring like a kitten and never ran so strong. Of course I am biased but I do think BRG looks especially lovely in the rain.

Thanks! As I mentioned I purchased her sight unseen in July 2020 - my Covid project I guess. Had 45668 miles and now reads 52696. Ran great but mostly need cosmetic attention, etc until recently. She started idling poorly and then running badly. And there was this screeching noise on startup that I'd been dealing with since purchased.. I threw some money at it but didn't fix it. So I found a local Jag expert and he got her all straightened out. The poor idle and running was due to the air filter/canister/MAFS having some issues.. broken mounts, etc. The screeching sound was actually the timing chain tensioner issue which is common on these cars. I'd posted about both of these issues but to no avail. I will say that I believe it was Grant Francis who said he heard what sounded like a timing chain rattle.. but I argued with him that to me it didn't sound like a rattle. Well turned out he was right on and I was wrong. I just couldn't believe that that loud of a sound could be coming from a tensioner.. but indeed it was.

I also treated her to new calipers, brakes, vented/slotted rotors, plugs and coils. Last year she got new Pirellis.

Finally she is oh so quiet and purring like a happy kitty.... like the Jaguar she was meant to be

Now just one darned exhaust rattle to chase down.. which I believe is coming from the cats. Sorry for the pun.
