Hi! I recently got a 1991 Convertible XJS (pics attached). She had two owners before me and 55k miles. Great shape, runs like glass. Any tips for a first-time jaguar/vintage car owner? I've driven her a few times and she has some mud on her - how often do I need to wash her to keep her in good shape? I'll store her inside for the winter and during the summer she'll be covered in my drive-way, semi in the shade. I know absolutely nothing about cars. Thanks in advance!
Welcome! Don't be afraid to drive it, and don't ignore regular maintenance like oil changes. It appears to be a V-12 engine model which has history of being "quirky", so a reputable Jag shop is strongly recommended. The absolutely best thing you can do for both yourself and the car is join the local JCNA club. Just Google local jaguar clubs. They are a great source of fun and info.
Good luck!
