Default no brake fluid to LF caliper

so three out of my 4 wheels stop right now, firm pedal, instant stop. the LF cailper gets no fluid at all. I disconnected the line at going to the LF from just under the master cylinder. I can start the car and pump, pump with key on (and hear what sounds like the ABS pump) and engine off, or pump away with engine and key off. I get no brakes to the LF. I have verified the caliper is working. What am I missing?

Each wheel has it's own individual line coming from the actuator/master cyl unit. So you have a problem with the main unit. My guess is that pads have been changed without clamping the hose and opening the blled screw. That leads to possibly contaminated fluid being pushed back into the ABS unit which is extreemely sensitive to dirt.

As a starter I would try to flush the system with a fair amount of fresh fluid. If that doesn't help look up the otehr two threads just running on the system giving info on repair, parts, overhaul help etc.

I did disconnect the LF line from the module. Nothing comes out at that port, not even a dribble. I found a TSB on tearing down the module with a repair kit. I was hoping there is a way to test the acuator before hand. Tried the search w/o luck before starting a new thread. I am no forum guru, I'll try that again :-)

I don't know about any testing possible without building a test rig, which is somewhat OTT

Apart from flushing, opening up and checking for debris, swollen seals, hardened seals (O-rings) my next step would be a second hand unit or sending away for overhaul.

pulling it out now....what a biatch! So when I get it out should fluid flow straight through the inlet side to the outlet without energizing it at all?

took the distribution block out. Cleaned and replaced O-rings per the TSB. No change, great brakes on 3 corners, nothing on LF.
